Student Mental Health Committee

The Student Mental Health Committee is an initiative to improve a culture of well-being on campus by de-stigmatizing mental illness and creating positive environments that allow students to thrive. This year Vice President of Student Affairs - Marvin Tibby who is highly trained and experienced in the mental health sector will chair the mental health committee. Events and Programming will include Stress Less Week, Sexual Consent Week hosted by Waypoints, and many other exciting campus events and activities.

In summer (2016) we renovated Kings’ Lounge to become a space that is collaborative, bright, and will provide an environment that is relaxing and supportive. Come by and visit our new Wellness Space!

If you are interested in taking part in volunteer efforts surrounding this initiative, please visit the Students’ Association of Keyano College offices in CC 266 to fill out an application form or contact the President at president@sakc.ca or your VP of Student Affairs at vpstudentaffairs@sakc.ca. Every effort helps and the SAKC is eager to see our students benefit from the services we offer.
